

FCTA Vision
The Future Coaches of Texas Association (FCTA) introduces young adults to the fundamentals of coaching and encourages them to explore opportunities in the coaching profession.
About FCTA
Through FCTA, accredited educational entities throughout the state of Texas can establish local chapters to introduce students to coaching concepts and encourage them to build an understanding of how to promote athletic performance, facilitate team leadership, and drive towards overall excellence as a future coach.

Future Coaches of Texas began as an idea within the Thornton-McFerrin Coaching Academy at Texas A&M University.

The program elements are being defined with the help and support of the FCTA Advisory Council, Texas High School Coaches Association, Texas High School Athletic Directors Association and the Texas Education Agency.
Future
Where we are headedBy December 2023
Our goal is to have 10 pilot schools enrolled in the program to help establish processes and provide guidance as we prepare to open enrollment to all high schools throughout Texas.
